Bio

Born in the Fatherland, raised in the Lone Star State and forged in the Live Music Capital of the World, Aidan Sweeney is a virtuoso lead guitar player and singer-songwriter. Born a military brat in Frankfurt, Germany, Aidan and his family moved back to his father's hometown Comfort, Texas, at the age of five where he lived until he graduated high school. He earned a bachelor's degree in music from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a focus on classical and jazz guitar. Before graduating college in December of 2021, Aidan and his bandmates of American Megafauna moved to Austin, Texas where they soon gained traction playing multiple gigs a week and recorded a myriad of singles and a live EP. In his three years in the Live Music Capital, he played over 300 gigs with over a dozen different bands, ranging from blues, rock, funk, R&B, americana, country and soul as a lead guitarist. In the fall of 2024, the Rocky Mountains shouted his name and Aidan moved to Ridgway, Colorado to pursue the wonderous outdoor living and fruitful music scene of the San Juan Mountains. Now based in Colorado, he is a musician for hire as a solo acoustic act, lead guitarist, session musician, recording artist, and leads a 5-piece funk-rock band in Telluride, Colorado named the Lone Star Mountaineers.
